Not exactly up to Simon's standard but this is the best I can do , I like to keep things simple and now the nights are drawing in I now get home around 7.30 and I like my tea ready by 8 / 8.15 , time I put my tea on  , I then shut the curtains and potter about , if I have got time I have a cuppa while I am waiting and anything I leave I have got a hungry Labrador that make short work of any leftovers .

I will let you put on the gravy 😋

That is a compliment from the forums chef , THANKS , I have got half the pie left and if you were nearer you would had been more than welcome to it .

A quarter of a pint of gravy is more than enough for me , I put two tea spoons of granules in the jug , one oxo cube and a little drop of thickener , all the veg are fresh and steamed for 15 minutes. :drinks:

Very nice, saw the first picture and immediately wondered if there was any gravy.  :w00t:

Read through and looked at the second picture and that is just right.  :good:

Good old MandS or is it Waitrose?  :cool1:

Very good presentation too, others could learn from you and DM.

Morning Dave ... THANKS for the compliment ... I do like to keep things as simple as possible when it comes to cooking my meals , we do have access to plenty of fresh veg and now they are lifting potato's I walk my dog behind the harvester and soon fill a bag up with ones that are laying on the surface , the pie itself was from M + S and was the Chicken Leek and Smoked Bacon and was very nice , half was enough and the rest will be eaten over the next couple of days , I do pop in Waitrose mainly on a Sunday when I have a run out and have my coffee and buy a few bits if they have been reduced as I very rarely pay full price for my main meal item , the bits that go with it I don't mind paying full price but even most of these have been reduced , so I am eating decent food for less than the price from some of the other supermarkets .

All the best and have a good day       john    MM
