Lurcherboy

I think it was Retford Porterhouse I saw Last Resort support Splodge!

Took my daughter to the Download festival (Monsters of Rock for those of us around a certain age) the other weekend. Great line up, Monster Magnet put on a great set, finished with the excellent Space Lord! Iggy Pop was the great showman he's always been too.

I see your a fan of Soundgarden, have you listened to the Audiosalve album?

Chris Cornell's voice and Tom Morello's guitar style a perfect match!

Sorry for the late reply been busy and just catching up on the forum!

Cheers

Mad springer,

I would have loved to have seen Monster Magnet as I missed them at Sheperds Bush a short while ago. My kids wanted me to take them to That too but I feel so old at gigs now. Took them to folkestone to see Electric Six, I was dreading it, but they turned out to be ******* brilliant. Recommend the album 'Fire' You won't believe this but I am listening to Audioslave right now!!!!!!!!!

LB :)

PS no that was not me at retford as I never went further north than Norfolk :(??????

Forget your age! get the kids out to festivals and gigs, you'll enjoy it just as much as them :)

Taking the daughter to V and Leeds festivals in August.

Must admit to feeling old when I get back (bloody knackered!) :(

Fav track on the Audioslave album has to be "Like a Stone"

Cheers!

I'm a guitar man (12str Takamine EG335BC) and also play the Mandola and irish Bozouki when one's available.

I used to play the penny whistle but I still play my gazoo when bluesing along to Clapton Unplugged and the like....
