MadSpringer
Lurcherboy I think it was Retford Porterhouse I saw Last Resort support Splodge! Took my daughter to the Download festival (Monsters of Rock for those of us around a certain age) the other weekend. Great line up, Monster Magnet put on a great set, finished with the excellent Space Lord! Iggy Pop was the great showman he's always been too. I see your a fan of Soundgarden, have you listened to the Audiosalve album? Chris Cornell's voice and Tom Morello's guitar style a perfect match! Sorry for the late reply been busy and just catching up on the forum! Cheers
lurcherboy
Mad springer, I would have loved to have seen Monster Magnet as I missed them at Sheperds Bush a short while ago. My kids wanted me to take them to That too but I feel so old at gigs now. Took them to folkestone to see Electric Six, I was dreading it, but they turned out to be ******* brilliant. Recommend the album 'Fire' You won't believe this but I am listening to Audioslave right now!!!!!!!!! LB PS no that was not me at retford as I never went further north than Norfolk :(
MadSpringer
LB Forget your age! get the kids out to festivals and gigs, you'll enjoy it just as much as them Taking the daughter to V and Leeds festivals in August. Must admit to feeling old when I get back (bloody knackered!) :( Fav track on the Audioslave album has to be "Like a Stone" Cheers!

Motorhead and Metallica also, but the latter not so much. No I dont pick what I like by the first letter of their name either. :( I will have to look out for your CD LB. lurcherboy
Red, i am taking my 12 & 15 y/o sons to Motorhead at Folkestone in November, should give them a headache :( I will be wearing my ear defenders. Don't bother with the CD Red, 4 track studio, 3 chord band and we were normally tanked up when recording. LB

MadSpringer
With all you musical types on the forum I was wondering what’s on your current play list. These are some of the albums that have had a regular spin in the CD over the past few weeks. Johnny Cash (The Man Comes Around) Alkaline Trio (From Here to Infirmary) Breed 77 (Cultura) Audiosalve Ezio (Black Boots on Latin Feet) Hatebreed (The Rise of Brutality) AC/DC (Dirty Deeds) Green Day (International Superhits) Killswitch Engage (The End of Heartache) Led Zeppelin (Houses of the Holly) So what you all listening to? Cheers!
