On saturday i went to fermanagh to see stage 11 and 14 of the world rally championship i arrived at 8am and had to cross a couple of fields to get to a good spot a long downhill straight into a very tight right hand hairpin marcus gronhomln crashed out out on friday so unfortunatly we didnt see him :good: leob took full advantage and opened up a 50 second lead and eventually won rally ireland,i got a few ok pics of some of the cars taking the bend

Was any one from pigeonwatch attending or watching?Next months stage and the final stage of the year in wales will be something else it will be very tight between gronhomln and leob it will also be gronhomln's last ever wrc rally as he is retiring

Guy wilks stalled impreza

Went to see the cork int rally end of september, leob won it and was very impressive.Actually took a picture of him coming down a straight that just showed a empty road!! he was going that fast he had past before the camera clicked

Yeah i heard that blackbart alright he was also in a rally in donegal and won it to he was driving an xsara wrc car in cork first time ever rallying on irish roads and he just blew the competion away he did the same in donegal he is something else ??? Theres talk of him trying F1 next year it will be a sad day for rallying if he left like that

I also was on a straight with a crest in it but all i could catch in the camera was a blur

It was only on your doorstep conor you should have went it was something else the power and speed of the full blown wrc cars is unreal its something that you wouldnt realise watching it on tv  It was very busy with spectators on the stages i went to even though the weather was ****e to put it politely

i didnt see gronholms car but they are seriously well trained and very fast at what they do each of them have a individual task. we tried to make it too the final stage mullachmore but the traffic was too heavy and a very long walk so didnt go. we left our house at 5 to be down at the service for 1/4 to 7 it was definately worth it hope it comes in 09 :good:
