30-6 Posted Thursday at 18:46 Report Share Posted Thursday at 18:46 Anybody got an answer to this please. My son's adblue tank on his VW Sharan is not registering correctly. He's been told by a garage the whole tank unit needs to be replaced. Is this correct or is there just a sensor that needs changing. Any input much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Red carp Posted Thursday at 19:27 Report Share Posted Thursday at 19:27 This might be a useless bit of information, but I had problems with my Vauxhall adblue tank instead of waiting till the low level pops up on the dash I refilled the tank when it was 1/2 full & that confused the ECU causing the check engine light to come on red. The garage did a diagnostic reset & all was well according to the mechanic they get it all the time, I don’t think he was bull******* as I was talking to a work mate & the identical thing happened with his Ford. The sensor, pump and tank were allegedly all one unit, so all had to be replaced - about £300 for the unit alone. In the end he got the adblue deleted.
