Yildiz pro journey

Hi guys.

Wanted to share my experience with yildiz pro. I've always been a Miroku shooter mainly- among a 694 of late, but the pro tempted me since its introduction to makret in 2018. More so around 2020 when the adjustable arrived with better grip shape etc, i have handled them and compared them to gun which they copied and have always been impressed. Financially i needed to cull a gun so i decided to sell the 694 and move into a grade 4 adj 32 inch pro- as much as i want to i cannot justify spending 8000-16000 on a perazzi- one day.

The pro really are an excellent piece of kit and i would argue best value guns on new gun market.

Only negatives are they saved some money by using a production recoil pad rather than hand fitting individual pads, the wood finish needs some work in oiling, outside of that they are brilliant.

And i wouldn't argue it wasn't wise for them to skimp a little on external finish as if the fitted a better pad and spent a week oiling the price would be 500 pound extra, and what they have done is smart- copy a top tier gun and sell at entry good gun price.

i have done away with the stock pad and replaced with a kick eez- and the gun now balances a tiny bit towards rear which i like. I also sanded and oiled the wood over the week and it looks amazing.

The trigger is breaking under 3.4lbs as expected given the action design.

I have no doubt i will lose a reasonable chunk when/if i ever decide to move it on, that being said they are holding value reasonably well and i can't imagine replacing it.

Love to hear from other owners.

It does indeed look the biz, and don’t take this as ‘knocking’ it in any way as that’s not my intention, seriously, but for those looking to buy a Perazzi for a fraction of Perazzi money, have a good look at the Renato Gamba Daytona. It is 99.99% identical to the MX8, made in Italy by the company which was once ( possibly still do? ) I believe, a finishing house for Perazzi.

You won't find a gamba here for less than tripple what i paid for this, and in the real world- country of origin aside these are as close as it gets for a fraction, people will always say look elsewhere due to turkey stigma which is fine. But i for one don't see this as any less gun

That’s fair enough, and I genuinely am not knocking your gun as I know nothing about the model; it was merely an observation on my part.
