Bradders
So lets imagine you are on the way back from an afternoon shooting, you stop to fill up with petrol and someone take a pot shot at you with an air rifle, misses you but hits the car, you see where the shot came from, in fact you can see the person hiding under a bush with the rifle pointing at you. What do you do...... A call the police B run over there give him hell then call the police. C return fire with shottie you had in the boot. now is option C excessive force when you had just been shot at and you can see a gun being aimed at you for a second attempt. Open to you folks......All replies are "hypothetical" of course because we would do the "right thing" and move closer so to present a bigger target to the poor deprived t055er...... Option C will land you in jail and all your firearms licences revoked, that's why they don't give them to people who make snap decisions. Get behind the car or into shelter and call the cops Better still also point out the location to anyone else who is about so theat they can get out of the way too. webber
Why not put all air weapons on an FAC like over here? I do fear that at some point air weapons will end up under some form of licensing regime. Sadly the plonkers who think it is fun to plink at pedestrians, pets and wildlife etc do not do the cause of shooting any good in the public's perception. These people do not obey the law now, so could we reasonably expect them to obey the law if air weapons were licensed, I doubt it. Handguns were banned around 10 years ago. Yet more people are now killed with unlicensed weapons, than ever was the case before hand guns and certain other weapons were banned. Law abiding shooters complied, and the criminals do as they please. webber
