Can I mail it direct to his local RFD for them to handle the face to face part or does it have to go via my local RFD to his local RFD? If I can mail direct are there any stipulations on the courier? Once when receiving a gun I paid nothing (Minsterley Ranges), all I had to do was buy some gear from the RFD as a token guesture! Your also right - when you sell a shotgun there is nothing to do on your cert, but the buyer will need his cert editing by the receiving RFD. However, you will need a letter from the RFD your sending it through to say that they have taken possesion of the gun etc. That letter is what you then need to send to your FLO with your cert to get it confirmed with the police records. al4x Posted November 28, 2007 Report Share Posted November 28, 2007 yep no need to send your ticket in, I believe you can put a line through the entry on your ticket yourself as obviously you no longer have it.
