flash
been reading up on this car, it recons the fuel around town is around 60 mpg, and on a long run between 70 and 80. just wondering if this is correct. also anyone have any ideas on its reliability etc. cheers flash
al4x
should be fine as an every day car and being ford will be relatively cheap to run. MPG wise I'd guess you'd need to be light footed to get those figures but if you bank on over 50 you should be about right

Not alot of bad points: What's Bad Not built in the UK. 1.25 Zetec S engine not in line-up. Though handling is good, trim level very basic and ordinary compared to Toyota Yaris, Honda Jazz, VW Polo or even Citroen C3. 1.4 Zetec S lacks sparkle. Even 1.4 diesel seems less enthusiastic in the Fiesta than in the Citroen C3 and not to the standard set by the Yaris D-4D. Rated one of the most expensive superminis to run in 2003 Which survey. But plenty of good feedback. Jerry
al4x
your biggest issue with a 2006 one Flash is going to be depreciation and will probably cost more than the fuel you put in it!
jayward
my mother has one and she used to buy a new golf every year or so but she was given a fiesta to try last year they gave it her for the weekend she never looked back the reason she said was its amazing on fuel the depreciation compared to the VW is negligible and the spec is massive she has a 1.4 TDCi Zetec climate with extra tints and bigger alloys thrown in trust me shes no happy less shes getting her moneys worth
BSA Shaun
Flash, can I ask why you are selling the Jimny? I take it from your post that you are after a more economical car i.e diesel? I would think that the Jimny would not be too bad on fuel being a 1.3 and selective 4wd? If so may I suggest a VW Polo TDi, they are cracking little motors, great MPG and will last you for years - no slouch either!
dunganick
drive a clio dci 80 all french car slagging aside, ive had two now, and both have been excellent, no problems with them at all, interia is a bit cheap and nasty, but i promise you the dci engine is excellent, goes much better than the 1.4 tdi vw/seat equvilent If you can afford it, a 1.9 seat ibiza tdi 130 is an excellent car, got my eye on this for a next car.
