I have a mate who is soon moving to France, his house and garden need a bit of fixing. I have said to him that I will be happy to take the trees and some of the shrubs out for him. When I finish he said I can stay at his for a couple of weeks

But I am just wondering what you need to go wild boar hunting over there (do you need a certificate or can you hire one. or is it that same over here I am guessing as both are in the EU they wil be the same.

Thanks

Funny you should ask, it seems there is such a thing as a European FAC and you can get one FOC when you renew, I will be doing this when mine comes in in the New Year, my mate has just got one as he is off to Luxemburg today pig shooting. You may or may not need one I can't be sure, we shot in Croatia and didn't need one - hopefully someone can give you a more useful answer than that. :good:

most of the small areas have organised boar hunts, dont think its much of a problem to get in with them, was one of the first things we asked when we were looking out there.

where's he going ?

some where in central france I think, I will get the name of the place soon.

Limoges? Massif Central?

Just make sure that you don't go and buy a .308 for the occaision. I seem to remember reading somewhere that the French don't like people using military calibres on animals.

Go and buy an Extrema 2 Slug from somewhere instead...
