lurcherboy
My 12 y/o has recently finished his shotgun lessons at Greenfields in Canterbury. This was his birthday present from me and his mum and he was well chuffed with it. The trouble is the little *** is beating me on the clays and rubs it in at every opportunity. Now I have 2 options, ignore him ( not bloody likely ) or have some lessons myself. Anyone else here in the same position? LB
ernyha
I introduced my son-in-law to shooting and now he makes me look like a beginner at clays and pigeon. Bloody Brummie. Not a bad lad though.

red_stag88
LB, all boys get a bit cocky after bettering there father, its a growing up thing. You could do either of three things - 1- Take him decoying in hard contions, strong crosswind etc. 2- Get him to shoot a .410 3- Accept it! lurcherboy
Thanks chaps, I will be employing all the suggestions and making him pay for his own cartridges. Should do the trick. LB

Aled_cky
you could always hide his gun. make him shoot a 410 a single barrel would be best.. when i shoot my 410 and then 12 straight after on clays i will usually shoot well.. theres more skill with a 410 Aled
