firepower
Does anyone in here know if I can get something like this for my Webley 810. Thanks in advance. Mick http://www.scopesnmore.com/mounts/shotgun_mounts.htm
myuserid
Why do you want a scope on a shotgun
Oly
If you can't find one in the UK (doubtful) try Natchez Shooting Supplies in the US (send stuff at cost price). What do you want it for out of interest?
Chard
I wouldn't have thought shotguns have sufficient accurate range to warrant a scope. But I suppose there must be a use for them, or they wouldn't sell them............would they?
casts_by_fly
when you are shooting extra full chokes a little red dot scope with 1X or 2X is useful. In the states a fair number of guys use them for turkey. First, you're shooting a pattern that will put 100% in 30" at 40 yd, some even tighter. At that constriction you have about a 6" pattern at 10 yd. If you call a bird in close or if you get caught in an awkward position the scope helps you get the right alignment. Also, if you are shooting heavy shot dead coyote and want to really use it to its full range, it helps to have the scope. vole
Think scopes are used for pig and deer on SG out to much longer range with rifled slug.Plenty semi autos have grooves to take a scope.
firepower
We go lamping regularly and although there are bunnies around our fields they are easily spooked by the lamps, even with red filters on. I got to thinking and looked into starlight scopes and found a scope that uses a starlight coupled with a laser. No recticle but the laser dot. I shoot with full choke and should, by my reckoning get a 30" pattern at around 40 yards. If I set the laser at 40 yards and use the scope too then theory says I should get a good clean kill in without the lamp. I dont want to wreck my gun just to try it out so that mount seemed like a good option
Hardy
Wouldn't you just be better with an air rifle?
myuserid
All you have to do with a shotgun is point and shoot, one of the lead pellets is bound to either strike a vital organ or the head. If you want a clean kill use a rifle.
