migster
The robbery at Steven Gerrard`s house last night makes it the 6th Liverpool player to be robbed in a couple of years, such an easy touch these millionares. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/merseyside/7140110.stm
BSA Shaun
At the end of the day they are scousers, so is it thievery or just a case of returning the original stolen goods?

Cranfield
This is the worst part of that news item, "Merseyside Police have described the incident on Tuesday night as a "confrontational burglary". " All joking aside, to have a person, or persons, come to your door and force their way in with the threat of physical violence, must be the worse kind of burglary. We were burgled at a previous residence while we were out and the trauma really upset my wife, I can't imagine the stress that Mrs Gerrard and her family are now feeling. Blackbart
I am sure if stevie g come out and said he was leaving lfc unless the bandit is found the said bandit would be dumped outside the local nick battered and bruised. Guest The Outlaw
I am sure if stevie g come out and said he was leaving lfc unless the bandit is found the said bandit would be dumped outside the local nick battered and bruised. Only if it was a "Pool" that did it. I think there are organised gangs doing these sorts of burglaries. Have any of the items from the previous high profile burglaries been recovered? The cars alone are not easy to disappear, and if they have why do they not have trackers fitted? These people earn enough money to have the best security money can by, they should spend some of it getting "Tight" before splashing the cash Otherwise when the insurance has paid out the cost will be spread out over all the policy holders premiums. Therefore passing the costs on to us. Tony
migster
I remember a few years back when Duncan Ferguson played for Everton, he was awoke one night by someone downstairs {poor chap didn`t know what he was in for} fancy trying to rob that mad nutter. The next day when he appeared in court he was black and blue, damaged eye socket, twisted arm, and in a right state.......... thats the only justice they understand, . He tried to sue Ferguson but i think the judge threw it out.
Axe
I have just listened to the report on Radio 1. A certainly agree that its not nice for them to have to go though this. They also mentioned that the club is looking into ways to protect against this sort of thing. Forgive me for thinking this, but don't they earn enough money already, to be able to provide themselves with added security measures. Wookie
This reminds me of what a friend told me about Glastonbury in the nineties... Wait until the middle of the night then shout lopudly "Oi you! Get out of that tent!" and see how many scallies jumped up and ran for it. All joking aside, Axe has a very valid point. These guys are earning anything up to (and over) 100k a week. They should have the money to ensure thier personal safety with that sort of money. I kno0w I'd be able to do it with that amount of cash.

Ahh, but that means that they have to think for themselves, You must remember we are talking footballers here........ overpaid and overpampered, cant be stressing the boys out too much. Cranfield
Until all the details are known, why be so critical. If Mrs Gerrard went and opened the door, apart from not being able to reach a panic alarm, I'm not sure what other security you would expect them to have. No doubt they have the place alarmed when they go to bed and a security firm/the police might call by and check things throughout the night, but I doubt they have security officers on site 24/7. vole
It is embarressing how sticky fingered this country of ours is.I have no great sympathy for the rich but having had stuff robbed myself I feel bad for the majority who have their hard earned stuff nicked.Usually the old and badly off.No consolation that your £100 DVD player goes for a tenner down the pub or car boot. I think the idea in the UK is not to own anything otherwise the toe rags will have it. If the cops strike it,ll be like post war Baghdad. pin
Ahem...........we never rob our own. I beg to differ! Some years back I happened upon a documentary which chronicled the fortunes of several "scousers" at work and play. I think the director was Harry Enfield? In this program there were scouse types seen in traditional shell suit dress clearly shown stealing each others video recorders, then fighting over them.
