dead-eye
Hi I have a lightforce 140 and have just come back from lamping early because the wires broke again its an exellent lamp when it works with no backlight but the wires are to weak for me and keep breaking. So just wondering do any of you use clulite lamps and what do you think of them? are they strong lamps?
auto culto
drives me mad also. I cant for the life of me understand why they fit such cheap naff electrics when the lamps are so damn good. Its seems worse now the cold weather is here. A mate of mine has the clu-light and although its well made and light it ain't a patch on the light force for beam pattern and distance. Saying that it does that it needs to do and you can have flip filters for them which work a treat as you just flip them back out the way if you need extra range , it allso doesnt sound like a gong if your wire hits the outer casing and the switches are quiet. I think sometimes you can have to much of a light.
Dead-Eyed Duck
I use two Cluson lights, and have found them to be ideal - especially with the small additional bulb which is ideal for climbing gates etc. I use a Deben dimmer on one, and that's excellent for rabbiting/shy foxes. I suppose that a lamp with a built-in dimmer would be even better, but not tried one. I've had both lamps for several years - no probs with either Don
scallopdiver
I use a cluson clubman and can find no faults yet,i have the flip up red filter fitted and it is great for the rabbits we come across when we are out for foxes. One of my mates has a lightforce and he had a lot of trouble with the wiring :yp: so he got a car spark to rewire the thing and has had no more bother

nevb
I've had a Cluson Laser lite for nigh on ten years, its still got the original bulb in, never let me down once, so I thought I'll have me one of them Lightforce 170 things everyone raves about. Had it 10 months, its had a bulb (spoilt a night out :yp: ) two wire failures (two more spoilt nights out ) melted its fag lighter plug (nearly a spoilt truck ) dazzles you from behind with the red filter on, too bright for rabbits without the filter (scares em ,too bright?). Needles to say its chucked in the back of the pickup as a spare ,not that i'll need it as I have the CLUSON!!!!
