Once I've taken someone once they always want to come again! FM

Hunter
I bought a cheapo airgun scope mounted lamp a while back, and posted the results!. One night (using rimfire) I shot 3 foxes all cleanly. A week later, I shot 9 (still my record after shooting on a farm with Dunganick once aswell) rabbits also alone. All shots free standing. Went well! but its tough work walking the fields with a back pack full of fox and rabbits. Company is always nice, but choose them well. Too much talking, and you may aswell not have bothered go out. Id love to get out, but here the fields have had a fairly thick mist cover, as I live in a slightly damp valley in east sussex. So some nights laping is impossible. Flick the lamp on and all you see is white for 40meters. My guns, even the rimfire, have had the bores cleaned, and oiled. Scopes cleaned, and then back into the safe. Probably be hibernating untill after Christmas.

auto culto
well folks I've just got back as i decided to go lone ranger style . Gave the landy ( Fred as my kids have named it ) a good run across a few fields to try out the new tyres ( there v good) but i need to do the rear ones as well now as I've loads of traction on the front but sliding a bit on the rear. Arrived at my destination and fixed up the lamp on the HMR had a good stiff walk to clear the senses and remove the cloud that's been hanging over my head and bagged 3 bunnies at the same time . Just sat down and finishing the evening off with a nice dose of Jack Daniels contemplating the shoot . It never ceases to amaze me how therapeutic and relaxing this sport is :( (unless its the Jack Daniels ) And i,m sure it makes the winters dark nights easier to cope with ( well it does for me anyway).
