Anyone any good with Tomtom 720?

I have just got a tomtom 720 from the mrs, is anyone nygood with them,

i have tried to correct a map error by adding my street but it doesnt show on my tomtom, i have uploaded it via mapshare and have also ticked use my updated but it still has not appeared.

 

any ideas as the tomtom help is ****.

Have just discovered you can only ammend no entry and names and the such like, any other changes are reported to tomtom for inclusion in the next map set.

So a way to have up to date mapping for free , thus saving tomtom employing a team to keep them updated

If I get lost, I just look at a map, or ask someone, its so much easier.

Hi Once the sat nav is registered using the code, you will be able to download the latest updated maps from TomTom for 30 days only, you will also be able to download mapshare updates free for a period of 12 months only,

They somehow dont tell you that when you buy a TomTom.

 

Effectivly this means that after 12 months it starts to become out of date and a liability if you depend on it.

 

I dont know if this applies to other Satnavs but can vouch for it with TomTom.
