Cranfield
There is a "wanted" ad on the Forum for a .410 pistol. Are these still legal. ( or do they have to have 26" barrels  ) ? I have looked round Google and can't find the answer.

Big_Sam
Technically the law states 9mm rimfire smoothbore revolver, but it has been expanded to include .410 smoothbore revolver. You need a FAC and pest control as the good reason. Imagine ratting with two revolvers
Floating Chamber
In my Edition of 'Police Law' (Moriarty) the mimumum length of a shotgun barrel used to be 20". Based on this, the .410 pistols had barrels of 21 -22" if my memory serves me well. When the minimum length was increased to 24", these pistols 'died out', and were handed in. Rascal
There are a number of these in circulation. A pest controller friend of mine has one on a FAC for humane dispatch.
