magman
Wildcat Preditor 8 Compact and leave it as it is for now
njc110381
Leave it well alone, the longer it is the better. Bung a wildcat mod on it, it wont make it much longer
JRDS
Don't cut it as it needs length to burn all the powder and achieve optimum speeds. If you cut it then technically it probably won't be deer legal and if you are Stalking with it then ditch the Mod as you don't need it, one or two shots per outing in Daylight doesn't warrant the weight or expense of a Mod. sambo
those wild cat mods seem to be quite big at 300mm long is this what you all use?
njc110381
They're long, but slide over the barrel and only add about 4" to the length of the gun (so less than a SAK on a rimmy!). Most centrefire mods are big, they have to be to work.

I know your theory behind this but my ears have heard both moderated and un moderated .243 and voted resoundingly in favour of the mod I'd really rather not wear hearing protection when stalking and it also adds a bit of discretion when in the woods
