pin Posted February 17, 2008 Report Share Posted February 17, 2008 Wrong section fella I assume you've just mounted it on a gun? If so your eye is probably too close or too far away. Scopes come with a specification, one of the figures will be the "eye relief" - this is the distance your eye needs to be from the eye bell of the scope so you see the correct picture. You can, carefully, loosen off either the mounts themselves or the scope rings (or both, depends) and slide (carefully, don't scratch the tube!) the scope fore and aft until you see the right picture. If it's a variable magnification scope then the eye relief will be far more critical at the more zoomed in end of the range.
