Hunter
Yup, as Harv says, you ar billed for the advert, and the sale. Sales and adverts are added, and billed monthy, I no longer sell anything what so ever on Ebay as its a rip off

peck
hello russ91, yes the payment will be commision for selling the item. i do not understand people who slag off ebay for charging a fee for selling an item, yes you have to pay for the listing and yes you do have to pay commision on how much your item sold for, whats wrong with that? i can understand it when people have been ripped off, but slamming ebay for charging a fee, (even if it does appear a little steep) i feel is self defeating, if what they have got to sell can be sold locally or on some free site like this one, all well and good, but if they cannot sell it locally what are they going to do with it? keep it in the cupboard to gather dust for the next zillion years or sell it on ebay and pocket what money you make from it minus charges.? ebay is ok by me, i am just carefull what and how i buy, and if i am selling i always tell it how it is, warts and all, that way even if something goes wrong you know yourself that you have done the right thing. ok i've had my say now bring on the the critism. WGD
As said, ebay will bill selling fees monthly and not at time of sal; bit of a pain if you forget about them! You can say what you like about Ebay, you are accessing a huge market and the chances are your selling fees are going to be less than an advert in your local paper with a much higher chance of a successful sale. (that's the royal "you", not any specific poster on this thread) Edited February 20, 2008 by wgd
