funky
I use mine as snap caps and also use them for target practice with my Daystate x2 they make a lovely sound when you hit them at 40 yards

Ferret Master
Using them as snap caps will only cause harm as the primer has already been fired. FM

jef
Using them as snap caps will only cause harm as the primer has already been fired. FM What he said! At our local club, they all go into bags and down to the recycling plant. We asked about it first and they are more than happy as long as it is just cartridge cases and no paper boxes etc. Jef

But seriously... who the hell has live artillery shells 'knocking round the house'?

libs
Talking of artillery, during a WW1 histroy project a few years back at my school: some numpty managed to find some LIVE ordnance in Vimmy and get it all the way to the teachers desk. The teacher hit the deck then told everyone to leg it and called the police, they sent the local bomb boys from the air base down and they managed to make a pretty big crator in our school field. It was probably in the regional news at some point. I went a few years on anf took back some fired shells that i found at the edge of a farm, the polished up really nice and make a great umberella stand! Mattw
Im Always amazed that the clay grounds dont pack them in to a square frame tightly brss down and make them into walk ways. when it worn out just sling it. I would think it would be grippy, dry, easy to make and move and cost nothing???
