HIGH OCATANE HITMAN
Near me there are a load of fields and running through the fields is an old railway line (no track) it is at least 50miles long but most places are inaccessable exept one near me. There is a load of trees running on banks all the way along so there is a lot of cover and the 'line' is about 10 meters down with fairly steep sloping banks. There is a place where i could park up walk around a bridge and im in. There are a lot of wood pigeon in the trees also magpies and crows and bound to be rats. No one goes in their exept me when i walk the dog and ive seen some young lads in their once. I'm certain it doesn't belong to anyone and just wondered if i was ALLOWED to shoot in their?? I've not yet got an airrifle but planning to get one within the next month.... P.S I'm going to ask the farmer to shoot on his fields AROUND the old train line soon. It would be good to hear your thoughts, cheers

J@mes
that land will probably still be owned by the british railway board.
HIGH OCATANE HITMAN
I think it belongs to the council, about a mile away there is an actual place you can walk around n have a picnic etc which belongs to the council but then you come to a fence and if u were to climb over the fence and walk for a mile apart from bein lonely and it being quite eery you would get to the bit i can get to. Do you think it's stupid asking the council if i can shoot in their?

Erik Hamburger
Hi, If you find a piece of land and want to know who owns it I recommend you ask the Land Registry. The fee is only £3, you can download the application form from their website, and I found the offer a very good service with a reply within a week. Link: http://www.landreg.gov.uk Once you have the name and address of the registered owners you can write to them for the permission you are seeking. Good luck
