Decided this morning to pop out for a couple of hours this evening on the hunt for Reynard. So I spent a good hour sorting all the kit out after tea then a 35 min drive to some ground that has not been shot recently only to find out that I'd gone and put the wrong lamp wiring system on the rifle and could not connect it to the battery  . There was a few choice words being uttered i can tell you. So now sitting I'm watching TV with a mug of ovaltine :good:

Not good B) Hate it when you spend 2+hours preparing kit, and end up forgetting something stupidly important like the bolt to the rifle  :good:

One of those days..

But knowing me I would have cut the leads and re wired it to fit, then repaired it at home :good:

I almost did start chopping but figured that its not worth butchering a connection on a serviceable lead for the sake of a hours round trip. Last time i carried out field repairs on a lamp i melted the wiring as it shorted out due to lack of insulation
