Sussexboy
Does anybody know a cheap source of parts for an X-Trail. Not Milners as they don't carry any. Cheers

Sussexboy
Cheers LB. We're looking for brake parts though, front and rear discs, handbrake shoes, that sort of thing. Nissan want telephone numbers for them and most 4x4 parts places don't seem to cater for the X-Trail. It's for my mates Mrs, there caught in one of those conumdrum thingys. It's too new to get rid of, too old to be worth anything if they did, and now starting to cost some money to keep right. Don't you just love cars. Pinkfooty
Are there no "third party" brake parts available? The reason that I ask are that Nissan's are notoriously soft. The pads on my X-Trail needed replaced after 35,000 miles and on my Pathfinder at 52,000 miles. You can tell how soft they are from the amount of brake dust that accumulates on the alloys. If I were doing my own maintenance, I would definitely look for a harder pad if one was available.
Sussexboy
Hi Pinkfooty. There are a couple of auto factors near where he lives so I shall suggest that he goes and asks. What do you think of the Pathfinder?

What do you think of the Pathfinder? I like it. I had an Isuzu Trooper 3.1D for 9 years and never got stuck in it. I then traded it in for the X-Trail (big mistake) and had to get towed out of muddy fields three times in two years. It just not have the off-road capability of the Trooper. So I traded it in after 40,000 miles for the Pathfinder. In almost three years, I have never got stuck in it and have been through some pretty extreme off-road conditions in it. lurcherboy
I am using a company called Euro Car Parts for 90% of my servicing parts. They very rarely get the parts wrong and in two years I have only had one component fail. Give them a company name when you call your local center and tell them it's the first time you have used them and they were recommended to you by a friend.
