Edward
I have a Vikers target rifle with peep sights, unfortunatly it does not have grooves for scope mounts, is there any way I can mount a sight on to it??? I was contemplating getting another rifle but my father (for some un known reason) doesnt want me to have another rifle.
Baldrick
Take it to a good gunsmith and find out whether he can tap the receiver to accept bases? I imagine that a target rifle would be pretty heavy and unwieldy though?
russ91
take it to a gun smith and ask them if they can put you some mounting blocks on the rifle most target rifles will accommodate these

Edward
can i ask what you intend to do with the rifle once you have got a scope on it.? If i can get the mounts, I am going to shoot targets at greater ranges.(My eyes cant see a bull on a taget at 70yrds) Silver fox thats quite an interesting website. I dont think I will have quite such a long scope. I was rather hopeing that I could buy some mounting blocks on the interweb, because my gunsith wanted £200 to put blocks on, and the quns probaly not worth that. I suppose I will just have to save up. Edited March 24, 2008 by EdwardtheloneShooter
