Here I am sitting in the office at my Apple mac computer designing another bloody corporate identity, looking out the window watching a very promising flight line wishing I was under it with the 12 gauge, dreaming of the weekend when I can get out shooting, and as if that wasnt bad enough I wanted to bring my Springer pup in with me but my **** boss says NO!! So ok she might chew the cables. re-decorate the carpet, steal everyones lunch, howl the place down and generally upset customers but SO WHAT!!! Dont these people know that us shooting types must get some kind of fix during the week? Oh well ill ask him if I can bring some ferrets in with me when I get some, or maybe one of my hawks then I can go out lunchtime or maybe the shotgun so I can practice my swing for the woodys oh yes the woodys as they flock into my decoys zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz........

Surley if your just sat there at the Apple Mac designing then you could do it just as well from home.

Used to have a job where could do lot of the report writing from home, found that could work well in the mornings, take the dogs out in the afternoon, get kids from school ect and finish off in the evening when missus was watching telly.

Worked very well for me

Till Made redundant........... :<

Work right in the Middle of town in the big blue building....

Live on the posh side of Popley.

With regards to shooting and not working, if its just a job to do ie reports / design and not custommer facing then surely als long as the Boss gets the results he shouldn't worry what hours you keep.

Have solved many a cust prob from the river bank. Only once have I been called while out shooting and the noise of the phone flushed a bunnie, but as I had broken the gun to answer the phone it lived to tell another day.

I've got my springer at work with me!

..but then I am the gaffa.

Drawback is his blimmin woofing, sends me 'round the twist. No good when you've clients in or on the 'phone.

Work is now the old fella's territory so he finds it necessary to woof the place down if a mouse farts on the other side of the industrial estate. Worst is when I'm not expecting it - pap me pants!

Did not know there was a "posh" side of Popley, unless you mean Chineham or Sherborne.

There all big blue buildings now I seem to remember. Never go near the place I have to say.

Heretell there,s some new shops or something in there now.

I work & live in middle of Hook but come 5.00 pm oI,m off out to our shoot or to one of the country pubs around here. I favour Rotherwick, 2 good pubs there.

In fact I think I'll ****** off early now.
