Supersonic
I served 14 years and 22 days - and proud of it. I say all our armed forces deserve way more recognition than they currently get. Nige
lurcherboy
Well done Sonic and your right. There is no respect for the brave men and women that defend are country When I was growing up in South London are next door neighbour, his name was speed used to tell me tales about being a tail gun charlie when I visited him and his wife on a Wednesday evening. I would sit there transfixed as I listened to his stories for hours and about the good friends he lost. He was a church goer and a confirmed liberal both are qualities that I now admire in a person. You have to go far nowadays to meet people like him He kept me out of trouble when I was younger and when he died I have no shame in admitting that I cried at his funeral. Chocs away chaps. paulf
True they deserve respect but they do OPT IN to a carer in the forces knowing the dangers.
Hunter
True they deserve respect but they do OPT IN to a carer in the forces knowing the dangers. Thats even more reason to respect and honor them. They know the dangers, and still do it as a daily job because they are aware that their duty is protecting us lot while we sleep snug and warm at night. Good on the fellows! but not so good to the ones who send them to silly (IMO) wars.
