sweepy
Does anybody know what the best and more importantly the cheapest sbs for down the marshes,I want one that will take steel as you all know bismuth is a bit on the pricey side. I would rather stick to sbs than go down the semi auto route Cheers Sweepy
casts_by_fly
probably a baikal is going to be the cheapest. I have the O/U version and they are built solid. I've considered the SxS when I was in the states but never really needed it enough to buy it. You can get them with multichokes and 3" chambers last I checked. thanks rick
anser2
I take it you want a s\s that will take the max 3 1\2 inch steel shells. I was looking for one last year and the only one I found was a zabala. But it was a lump of a gun to handle and against my instinct got a semi auto thats done the job well. MC
The biggest problem I can see with 31/2" cartridges and a side by side is the recoil will punish you. Go the semi route and get a 3 1/2" chamber. You are then spoilt for cartridges. The Escort is OK if you get a good one, the Winchester X3 is even better. I have an X3, looks great, but for some reason I don't really get on with it.
