Evil Elvis
A friend of mine owns a farm and as well as moaning about too many foxes she is moaning about all the woodies that have been roosting in her orchard right next to the house and pooping all over her washing and her nice new decking, concerned for her grand daughters safety she asked me to reduce the numbers, so i charge dup and dusted off the theoben. The orchard runs in a long strip down the side of her house, about 1.5 acres, so i just sat and waited for them to come in, she has a huge wall covered in ivy at the back which gave great cover,I was there all of 10 seconds before the first woody landed above me, whack, the rapid dispatched it with ease, dtraight through the head. The I have loads of collared doves come in for a while, i think these are her main problem but you cant shoot them can you? Anyway, the first evening i managed 5 woodies and a magpie, the second evening i managed 3 woodies and a magpie...the third evening they didnt show!!! So they took the hint!!! Thats more pigeons than I have shot with the shottie this year so far!!! Theres no pictures of pigeons as as soon as one flutterred to the ground, the collies ran in and nabbed them!!! One of them is real mean and is not to be messed with so he was welcome to the pigeons!!!! Nice to use the air gun again!!!

Ferret Master
Collared doves are on the licence. It's stock doves, rock doves and turtle doves that are protected. FM

Note for any future readers of thread collared doves are protected in N.Ireland for the rest of the UK they are on the general license! Suffolk shooter
Good restraint shown there EE. Lesson for all shooters, IF IN DOUBT, DON'T SHOOT!!!! Good result there. always nice to get a magpie with an air-rifle, they just seem to have this 6th sense when you line up on them and ****** off.
