Billett
I bought Lamber Sporter about a month ago, i am yet to fire it due to an injury, but now im making a recovery I bought some snap caps yesterday so i can practise my mount in the house etc.. I had lessons a few months back and was under the impression that you pull the trigger, off goes your first shot, pull the trigger and off goes the second... but for some reason (with snap caps in) I pull the trigger once, snap, pull the trigger a second time, and nothing.... the second barrel wont go untill i switch over the barrell select on the safety... is this correct? or have I bought a faulty gun? Billett
Ok called my local gunsmith for advice, apparently the recoil from a snap cap isn't enough to cause the mechanism to switch to the second barrel as it would do with a live round. Salop Matt
Just push the selector over to fire the second !
gdunc
If you really need that second 'click' you can flick the barrel selector switch over - depends on where this is sited whether it's worth your while I s'pose
gdunc
Looks like SS was quicker on the draw, dammit!
barrie0
Or pull the trigger for the first snap cap, give the recoil pad a good slap with your hand so the inertia mechanism works and you should be able to pull the trigger again for the second snap cap. That's the way to do it! (With apologies to Mr Punch) Edited April 25, 2008 by bob300w

Not ideal if you're shooting at an imaginary pair in your living room and hoping for that elusive left and right I'd manage it though, I always hit those ones perfectly
Fatcatsplat
Had that with a Lincoln, but it progressed to the point where i would not get a second barrel when i was using cartridges or a double discharge - Got it mended for 30 quid and now works lovely!!
