Cranfield
I am not familiar with the John Batley hide, what makes it different from other hides ? Also, I don't think you meant "abuse" angle.

lurcherboy
The Batley hide has an additional pole in front of the shooter to break up the line and allow reloading without catching the net. LB
Highlander
:look: JB used a 5 pole configuration usually with a roof over but I'm not sure he ever sold them or anything else for that matter they were just his way of making a hide somewhat on a different theme to others. I use something very similar (5 poles) but without the roof. The idea is to give the hide oblique angles so it's less evident from the front view. Country Boy
Yes John Batley did market a hide pole set, it was in the early 90's the poles were I think converted from fisherman's 'bank-sticks' v.g.quality but far too expensive at the time, also the netting was fixed to the poles, so wherever you placed the hide it kept the same dimensions (not always practicable) he also sold seats and gliders(bumsticks) Did they go under the name "The Professionals!"?!!! Cheers, C.B. :look:
palombier
Hi John Batley is now chairman(or similar) of the Gun Trade Association so probably doesn't sell them anymore. You could contact him to ask him. Regards P
