viking
hi guys, im planing on buying a co2 hand pistol from a lad on hear from the for sale section, but was wondering where i would stand if i was to send the postal order and then he decided not to send the pistol, any advise very welcome, thanks, Lee
cubix
Buyer beware is the best advice - if you get shafted there's nowt you can do, guy on here agreed to sell me an air rifle, then started adding in extra costs, then eventually changed his mind about the whole thing - what a waste of time. Then the same one cropped up for sale again recently!! who knows what's going on. In the meantime all I had lost was the chance to buy another great air rifle off someone I knew. If they are longstanding member and regular poster you have a better chance of success. But send money to someone you don't know - it's always risky. If you pay by paypal and put the details of what you are buying when you send payment then you might get your dosh back.
henry d
From the pinned topics in the sales section....... General Advice: Use extra caution when entering into a deal with a member that has: [*] no post count [*] no established reputation here [*] never sold to anyone in our forum before [*] recently registered on the forum IMHO - If both the postal order and gun are sent registered then you have a better chance of clinching the deal
njc110381
You could always say who you're buying from. If anyone has dealt with them in the past they can then give feedback
tjdwillis
if you go on there profile you can look at their posts and threads...you can usually work out if someone knows what they are talking about, and if the trustworthy, but be carefull.
