how many people use D&J cartridges i find them expensive at the moment is there anything as good for a fair price

I used to use them all the time. Never had a single misfire and the "dirt" wasn't anything that a Boresnake wouldn't clear with a quick swipe.

 

However, I haven't bought any for ages, because I can't believe the price they've got to

 

There's plenty of cheaper cartridges now that are as good or better, like Eley First, Rio, Fiocchi No 1 and then of course there's steel shot, which I'm changing over to

I'd go with Eley Firsts for competition or Gamebore Clear Pigeon / Eley Realtree Pigeon for the field :yp:

my local club sell D&J for 3.75 for 25 or Express for 4.50, i have tried both and found no noticeable difference dirt wise. i do prefer the Express over D&J
