bob300w
Evening folks, Right, after a long time debating whether to get one or not it arrived this morning Followed the instructions as per the booklet, exhale, do not blow. Guess what, it sounded just like... me, exhaling Problem solving time. Fairly sure the trouble was the extra air escaping either side of the whistle. So, I put my thumb and forefinger on either cheek and pushed in, then exhaled. Aha! It works A LOT more testing and practice needed Has anyone else here got one, used it successfully, or threw it in the bin? All the best, John Plan 3, threw it in the bin. It used to make me feel like gagging, and I could never get any sound from it that was sensible.

DaveK
Throw it in my bin please Are you sure Dave, it's been in my mouth tommy tucker is the man for this, do a search sure the destructions are on here some place. I remember that thread Mark Jesus, I've been here a while lol. I have said destructions here beside me. Problem is either me or Andre has a funny shaped mouth More likely him  Air escapes to the left and right of the whistle, but if I press in my cheeks (keep it clean) between upper and lower teeth I get decent sound. Not convinced yet what I'm doing can call a fox but I'll keep at it. Hi John keep me informed how you get on as Ive been thinking about these for a bit now ,if you get it right they sound brilliant I sure will Magman So if you throw it in my bin I can put it in my mouth and then put it in magmans bin (it's the least I can do for the poor lad)

henry d
I never bought one of these whistles for the simple reason that I couldn`t play blues harmonica and the use of tongue and exhalation/inhalation are similar to "bending" notes. I am tongue tied and therefore cannot bend my tongue enough to produce the half notes, so I won`t be spending my dosh there. I can however use a wigeon call to good effect, but I can`t play the blues on it
bob300w
Throw it in my bin please It would be a piece of cake to make one, if you would like the dimensions, I can send them to you. It's simply a piece of bent brass with a hole drilled in it.
radio1ham
well ive never owned a fox call i just make a hollow fist and sqeak in to hollow fist seems to work for me always seems to make them come in close, sometimes ive got them in to about 30 yards when sitting in one spot then bang with 12 guage with AAA`s or sg`s foxes always look for an easy meal so i guess any sort of squeaking will work but squeaking using my hand is the best allrounder
