tosspot
A while back i had a play with Munglers' pump ( cue LV ) and must admit to being quite taken with it. The smile factor when that ker-chunk resounded along the line (we were shooting compak) was infectious, ever since i've been keeping an eye open for a cheap play thing and today i spied an as new Mossberg Hushpower in .410 at my local gunshop something else i've been promising myself as the Pedretti single barrel i've had for years has also provided many hours of fun. So armed with an old El Chimbo .410 a deal was stuck. This afternoon down the farm in amongst some old buildings 3 Rooks, 3 Jackdaws, 5 Pigeons and 5 rabbits later and i'm still smiling, should've bought a pump action years ago :D . Now for a round of 100 Sporting tomorrow evening  . Cheers Mung me old fruit TP
Mungler
Exchellente! Everyone should have a pump in their cabinet especially when a new Mossberg is but two hundred quid odd. I would recommend an additional flat rib longer multichoke barrel for clays though - I sourced mine (I think it's a Remmington which is a perfect marry fit / marry up) on the floor of my local Dickensian gun shop. I have a corporate clay shoot Friday which I have been banned from winning because all the other guests don't shoot, so I will be taking the pump action and smiling liking a ******* the whole way round. I can imagine, rather like Del boy in the scene at the country house, with the pump that he borrowed from a bank blagger!

robgriff
Hey Tosspot, if you don't mind me asking, how much was it? Been looking to get one but my local gunshop quoted £510. Seems expensive.
tosspot
It was up for £445, as new S/H one month old, obviously someone wasn't too happy with it but hey ho i am  Think they do em new at £499, not quite as quiet as the Pedretti/ Baikal but still pretty good.
