hand rearing pups?

im hoping it dont have to come to this but.. has anyone had to do this? my dog is having her first litter now but dont seem to want to have anything to do with them,, im hoping its just because its her first time and unsure.

but if anyone could give me instructions pm if you wish- thanks

my young lakeland had her first litter 3 weeks ago and had 10 pups, lost 3, despite the wife trying to help out and bottle feed the 3 smaller weak ones. the 7 we have here are all big and strong pups, i think its just nature taking its course. ime sure your bitch will get her act together very soon and do a fine job as ours was a little slow to start feeding em wish you well and good luck with the litter.

If she is feeding them then stay out of it. The only thing you should be doing is making sure the smallest ones are getting enough to eat.

yes mate shes coping quite well now.. im leaving her at it , but i just have a glance at her as im going by.. ill look for the littleones getting their share... thanks
