al4x
semi's are a bit of a gimick as yes you get 3 shots but rarely need them and they take longer to re-load. Having said that I use one but mostly for lamping from a vehicle where its much easier than having a barrel to break
Ice
I bought my Miroku for my first gun, my shooting buddy bought the escort with a 3.5" chamber. The escort doesnt like a lot of cartridges due to there length and jams alot, so if you are going to buy on make sure you get the 3" chamber version as this cycles a lot better, unless you are going after particularly big game with it..... Even more suprisingly we both lined up 10 carts and shot all as fast as possible to see which gun could be fired and reloaded quicker...... the Miroku could be fired and reloaded through 10 carts about 7secs quicker than the 3 shot semi..... so its not much of an advantage is it? Andy W
why would you buy a second hand gun when you know damn well it doesnt fit ie from your point, a left hand gun ?? Well apparently the gun type, fit etc doesnt matter, 1000's of experts are wrong.
Lloyd90
My club does allow semi's aslong as you have a flag in the actio to show its on safe!
njc110381
See if you can find a Baikal O/U. They're only £300 odd new, and there are plenty of second hand ones about. It's no Beretta, but they're good solid guns and rarely go wrong
Lloyd90
Went to the gun shop today! Cracking guns down there around my price range! I tried a Baikal and thought it was alright, rather heavy mind and bulky! :look: Went with a friend who shoots often and got advice on fit and such. Found a really cracking double barrel O/U, cant remember the make, something like ashura I thinks Nice and light and a cracking gun! Double trigger although you can just pull either trigger twice to fire it! Think it was a game gun, saw another one the same make with just 1 trigger but preffered the 2 lol! Really leaning towards the O/U I saw today now! Didn't like the Escort I tried much at all! Felt horrible on the cheek and lacked all the character of the wood on the nice old O/U! Also the shop owner told me If you want a semi get a beretta because the Escorts aren't very reliable. Apparantly there always breaking in some way or another! Gota wait a few more days now for my SGC to arrive and I should be sorted!!
