gixer1
Folks, Just looking for opinions on your favorite .243 round, at the moment I'm using Federal power shok 80 grain soft points which are about 2" drop at 200 yards when zeroed at100 and around 8" at 300yards the 80's are around 2560fps at 300yrds, I've had a look at the federal website and there are 55's 70's is there such a thing as a 65 or 75??? also any recomendation/explanation on tip type would be handy, I know there will be varying opinions but I'm sure there must be a common favorite? the rounds are used for fox (up to around 250 to 300 max) and roe up to 250 (although I know the federal 80's are legally ok up here in scotland out to around 350yards) other manufacturer's suggestions also welcome. Regards, Garry.

Devilishdave
I use 95 grain Nosler Balistic Silver tip with 42 grains of vit 160 and get the same drop 100-200 as you are getting with the 80 grain. Dave
