How sad to hear of the death of Old Crazy Horse.. Emlyn Hughes..

I am sure many of us on this forum are of an age to remember Emlyn and the Golden age of Liverpool F.C. under the great, lamented Bill Shankley in the 70,s

Hughes was passionate about his football and played the game the way it should be played with passion and relentless enthusiasm. I was not a Liverpool supporter as such but he was a great hero of mine when I was growing into schoolboy football in the 70,s. A truly great player, combative and agressive but not malicious.. Modern idols of his ilk could learn a great deal from the way he conducted himself on and off the pitch..

Sadly missed.
