Fisherman Mike
How sad to hear of the death of Old Crazy Horse.. Emlyn Hughes.. I am sure many of us on this forum are of an age to remember Emlyn and the Golden age of Liverpool F.C. under the great, lamented Bill Shankley in the 70,s Hughes was passionate about his football and played the game the way it should be played with passion and relentless enthusiasm. I was not a Liverpool supporter as such but he was a great hero of mine when I was growing into schoolboy football in the 70,s. A truly great player, combative and agressive but not malicious.. Modern idols of his ilk could learn a great deal from the way he conducted himself on and off the pitch.. Sadly missed.
jonno 357
Just heard about the sad loss on the news this lunchtime. I knew he had been ill for sometime and I didn't know how severe. He used to live quite local. I used to see him often in the local bookies. He was always good for a laugh Jonno

Browning
My old man lives in Brighouse and still tells the tale of "Old Crazy Horse" helping him win £500 in the local bookies one day. He always had time for a chat and a laugh. He'll be sadly missed
