Curly87
I was just seeing what the protocol was when it comes to giving up a FAC? Once I have got rid of my guns, do I just write a letter to the FAO that ive given them up and that’s it, and do I have to send the FAC to them as well? Cheers, Tim
allthegearandnoidea
Just don't renew it then if you change your mind about giving it up you are just getting a renewal rather than a new ticket.

Axe
Since you have to inform them that you have sold the guns and provide the details of, it won't hurt also to mention that you are leaving the country for 8months and won't be able to renew until your return. PAULT
cant your local rfd store them for you
Curly87
ill ring up the FAO tomorro and see what they say, indeed it would be much less hassle than having to reapply as for letting my local rfd hold onto them for me, im not too worried about the guns and have already sold them, plus it gives me a good excuse to buy a big new shiny gun when i do finally come back! codling99
id fill in renewal forms now,and send off with cheque, and a letter explaining circumstances,at least when you get home you ll still have ticket for 5 years, just need to buy new gun then.your allways only a phone call away if they need any details of you,for the sake of 50 quid ,id renew just incase

daitai
A friend of mine has just recently renewed his license 6 months early under similar circumstances, and then stored the guns in a RFD he regularly uses. Have fun in india
