Browning GTS
I was wondering does anyone use shooting sticks for the bunnys? I should finally get my .17hmr next week and since most of my shooting will be along hedgerows at the bunnys, the problem i can see is holding the gun still enough for them long shots when not in a vehicle. I suppose prone is one answer but not over undulating ground or when it is wet and muddy.
Shootingman
I'd say 70% of my shooting is off sticks & 25% prone, its very rare that I shoot freehand.

henry d
Just come in after using them, I think I use them more through the summer and freehand through the autumn/winter. Well worth it IMHO.
drut
Tried shooting sticks & found them usefull.but mainly now use harris 13.5-27 bipod as it suits me better accuracy wise,I wear waterproof pants if at all "iffy" & shoot from sitting or kneeling position with bipod fully extended. From hide I use folding chair & camera tripod with adaptor.
Dunkield
Get a set of adjustble ones Browning, I use nothing else for rabbit shooting, although I am now starting to take more and more offhand shots for closer stuff. I bought the Bushwear ones, but if look back a week or so on here there was thread where John Galway also recommends some others. If you get fixed height they can't be used for kneeling or sitting shots.

Hodmedod.one
I use an X3M1 tripod. I think it cost me £24. Adjustable from 2 to 5 feet approx. You can get the same thing in a bipod for about £17. Lightweight and easily adjustable. If you buy one, make sure that you loctite the 3 screws that hold the legs on. Mine worked loose the first time I used it. You may also want to bin the little webbing strap that goes across two of the legs. It isn't long enough to be of any use. alex301286
iv got a harris bi-pod which is sweet. it was alot of money but proper stable when u get in the prone position. iv also got a x3m1 bipod which was from sportsman gun centre for £10. i would never be without it, especialy for long disdance bunny bashing, makes it alot easier

moses
Stoney point polecat sticks double or triple. They are not cheap but, they are the best there is IMHO. I have the explorer tripod and don't leave home without them. Get them from Cabelas at the best price.
