Out shooting in Hayle Cornwall on Saturday afternoon early evening, fired my Hmr at a bunny and as i looked up in the next field a white fox sized thingy did a sharp u turn and legged it back up the hill, had a tail not unlike a fox and had it been normal colours would have said a fox, could not get my scope up in time to confirm it. any body else seen any white charlie.

Fleabag,

I think this is possible, but I base that on some articles I've read in the past detailing similar sightings to yourself!! There have been several "sightings" reported over the years in Britain of White Albino like foxes.

With it's cousin the Arctic Fox having its un-missable pure white coat, it's possible that genes have activated in common foxes. Another possibility could be the "genetic mutation" of the pigment gene like in Tigers where a white tiger cub is born, it is not a breed of tiger or colour, merely it is a gene gone wrong!

I'd really like to spot a white charlie, you're lucky!

:stupid:

Don't think it was a dog, the way it ran and disappeared in to the hedge was fox like and the tail straight back, but would not shoot anything with out seeing what is was first,
