Rossenarra
OK after a year of pondeing I finally went away and ordered a rifle.........the t3 lite seems to tick all the boxes for me. So my next quest is for a scope......my budget would be in or around €1,000 or £800. So what are people with T3 using and greatly appreciate recommendations
steve_b_wales
First of all, a good choice of rifle. I have two, in 243 & 308 caliber. I use a Kahles scope on the 308 and a Hawke Endurance on the 243 (used mainly for foxes) What are you using the 223 for? if its for foxes and vermin, you won't go wrong with a Shmidt & Bender 8x56. I use one on my Sako 22-250. With a budget of up to £1000 you have a great variety of good scopes to chose from. Go for a good make and you won't go wrong. Jonno243
If I was feeling mischevious and wanted to start one of those eternal "which is better" arguements I would say to hell with an S&B, buy yourself a Swarovski..................... Blue touch paper lit, retire to a safe distance.

steve_b_wales
If you get a hungarian made S&B it will be cheaper. The optics are exactly the same. I have compared them side by side and there is no difference.

magman
I would go ZEISS VICTORY DIAVARI 3-12x56T ZEISS VICTORY DIAVARI 3-12x56T RET 4,8,43,The extremely compact, lightweight riflescope is the standard for many hunting situations. Due to its excellent twilight performance even ... Price: £949.00 (inc. VAT) Cheaper and a better quality scope I have the same scope but illuminated on a tikka t3 lite
Mungler
I have one of those (SCHMIDT AND BENDER ZENITH 2.5-10x56) with illuminated reticule on my HMR. It's a good scope and lots of light gathering capability, but, I am not a fan of the eye relief. Maybe it's just me. I would start off buying a S&B 8x56 (fixed) and then chopping and changing if need be. Also you will probably find that you willl buy another or other rifles and having a spare 8x56 kicking around will serve you well. onelesscharlie
Hi I have a t3 lite stainless in .223 fitted with an IOR 4-14x50 side focus scope. Superb optically and much improved build quality, save yourself a couple of hundred quid in comparison to the brand names. They are being retailoed by border barrels at present.
