nagantino
Just reading Tweedledee's post and was wondering about Sunday shooting in N.Ireland. I was always told that "it was never done" but I see lots of posts from Scotland, England and Wales were the guys are shooting on Sunday. I don't know anybody who does but was curious about it. Is it law or ettiquete?
tweedledee
i think there is a law against killing any wild animal here but i may stand corrected.i don`t do it personally cause i would disturb the neighbous.i do use air rifle round home and plink a little.i`m only in there myself

Ballymac
Was out early on saturday morn for a walk, around 6.30am, with the dog trying to get a few duck, but mainly to give the dog some exercise and a bit of refresher training.Had to be back by 9am. Seen a few pigeons flitting about, but was tied up all day, was coming home around 4.30pm and stopped at a field that had several hundred crows and magpies in it. Was too tired to go out at the at time. So at least the birds are around had bother finding them the last few weeks This was on a field of barley that last week was healthy and is now destroyed. I don't think that the farmer is even going to bother cuttin it. I also spotted aboout 12 pheasants on the edge of the adjoining barley field which is part of the club grounds so hopefully this will provide good holding cover for them.
