Snotty
My son has got himself a job which involves tractor driving, general labour and pest control, SGC an advantage. He said, "Not a problem my father has an arsenal". He is 20, has the experience, is built like a brick ****house, starts tomorrrow. Presume he can get a SGC nil problemo if it's part of the job description. Have my chum Dr Clive standing by ready to sign for him. But, if he gets a gun I think that means another cabinet? He could borrow from my "arsenal" for up to 72 hours without paperwork, but can you hold a SGC without owning a gun? Any tips before I phone my FLA? Much ta Snotty
Fatcatsplat
you don't need a gun to own an sgc - Far as i know, he can borrow yours as long as he does not have access to your cabinet.
Snotty
Gosh that was quick, wasn't expecting an answer in the wee small hours of the morning Sounds like a non-problem then. He may need some bird recognition training, could be seagulls. He usually grabs the Winchester 9410 when we go out but I suspect an ounce of fives might be more suitable

Snotty
Called the plod, will take about a week If he wants a key to the gun safe he has to list all the shotguns inside and I have to put a steel cable through any rifle guards. OTOH I may be able to rearrange the cases. Rifles and pistols in one, shotguns in the other. Not actually sure how many I have
njc110381
Why doesn't he put in for all of your kit and go co-terminous? With you as a mentor for the firearms, I see no reason why he shouldn't be allowed the bigger stuff too. Then he could access the cabinet without a problem, for an extra £2 per year! Bleeh
Yes, he can only have access to what his ticket allows. So, say you got him both a Sgc, and an FAC for .22, you'd have to keep everything that wasn't either a shotgun, or a .22 somewhere he couldn't have access.
