I have to renew my licence every 3 years because history of epilepsy. I had to renew my licence in August and so I sent my licence of and filled in all the forms to say they can speak to my doctor etc, this was Middle of August I sent the forms off.

Now here is the problem this weekend I am flying to East midlands airport and as I aint got a passport for identification I need my driving licence. I thought it would be back to me by now but it seems the DVLA are sleeping on the job.

It really shouldnt take this long to renew a driving licence surely? I have not had any seizures since i was a baby.

I am the same as you had Epilepsy as the baby.

When i got my driving licence in 19cough.cough.

They put me on the three year licence. because of the epilepsy.

But after the three years were up they said that i was safe to have the full licence(obviously they have not seen my driving). :good:

So it might be worth going to see your doctor and having a word with him .

If you have an FAC or SGC you'll find they probably accept it.

You would think so wouldnt you?

I renewed my phone contract in the 02 shop, the only id i had about my person was my fac as i had just been to the gun shop, i thought on the way back kill 2 birds with one stone. They would NOT accept it as a form of id, the bloody planks!
