i knew it was a partridge/grouse good enough for me.

Not really good enough though seeing as the birds seasons are not identical. Wild english partridge and red grouse are a threatened species and someone shooting them who doesn't even know what they are is doing them no favours.

I really hope you don't go 'grouse' shooting on the Glorious Twelth and end up potting an English partridge out of season. :)

Also the habitat of the red grouse is not typically 'large grass fields' in the midlands. They live on heather moors.

im well aware of the seasons thank you, i take it you do not shoot grouse/partridge? you probably have your dad there to tell you whats what? maybe if you watched some real birds and get laid you would not be so interested in my shooting habits mr bird watcher.

He doesnt shoot Grouse or Partridge because he can tell what they are and knows their low numbers in the UK. I know for a fact he knows about his quarry and can at least tell what is what.

I dont understand what getting laid has to do with shooting partridges, in my view you have two things to work on, that is your quarry ID and your comebacks.

Might just be me getting puzzled here but what's the point in knowing the seasons of quarry if you can't identify them in the first place?

My Dad does not really shoot and I am old enough to shoot unaccompanied so he does not need to be with me to tell me what a certain species is as I am perfectly capable of identifying them and have been able to before I decided to shoot them.

Yes I do go bird watching... point being?

As for comments about getting laid, lets stick to the topic?
