oddbob
Well worth watching A friend of mine used to use Harris Hawks, and he knew someone who flew a Golden too, he has some film of it hunting, would be really good to see what it looked like swooping on a fox or rabbit with that camera on

pigeon master
Very good... I'm making a camera that will mount on the end of the shotgun so when I go pigeon shooting I will see the aiming point when I drop the very fast crossers and my point of aim when I miss. You can get them small wireless cameras off ebay if you look under CCTV, very good they are and you can power them with a 9v square battery so theres no cables to get caught when swinging the gun around. What do you think guys? I think it would improve my shooting no end but we will see when the project is complete, I'll post the video and results when complete. pigeon master
Many thanks guys, Millomite, you can pick up the wireless camera transmitter and receiver for about £60, the problem is the unit to record the images out in the field is much more expensive. It must be battery operated and be able to record a video signal from a camera. My only other option is to use a video recorder and have that running from the car fag lighter and transmit the signal to the car. I will post a picture in the photo section of it a little later on. I could make some money from this I'm thinking. WHO NEEDS A SHOOT COACH WHEN YOU COULD USE THE PIGEON MASTERS NEW SHOOTING REVELATION....THE GUN CAM . I'm off to the patent office. Happy days The PM Edited January 6, 2005 by ernyha

barrie0
Pigeon master I had a look at the wireless cameras on ebay , could you not just hook up the av lead (may have to use some adaptors)from the receiver into the av/video in , on a standard portable camcorder . As most people have a video camcorder and they are light and have good battery life it would be a good solution and keep the price down . I had an idea the other month when my digital camera stopped reading all its memory cards , I cut out a memory sized piece of thick paper and shoved it into the memory slot which in turn cleaned the contacts in the slot . It worked a treat and the camera has been faultless since . Then came up with the idea of a memory card with fine abrasive material attached to it having never heard of this . Anyway a long google search ended with me finding 1 company in america that does them , sometimes the simple ideas can make you a nice bit of cash . Good luck with the project
pigeon master
VERY TRUE. Barrie, you could use a camcorder with an av input but mine is void of such a feature. You got me thinking now, but I dont think they have AV inputs do they? only AV outputs allowing you to see or record the image onto another source. I'm off to check though. barrie0
Pm Having a trawl on google it seems a lot off minidv (not digital 8) camcorders have av+firewire in and also out . Also found a 12v video recorder for around £130 although camcorder would be best . http://www.dvspot.com/ reviews a lot of minidv camcorders Going back to the wireless camera off ebay I would make a tube to hold the lens, battery and wires , velcro fastening around the barrels and tube , some shock absorbent material may be needed around the lens and also it would be best if you had some sort of adjusting device attached to the lens to keep the lens pointing where the barrels point etc . Bet some manufacturer's reading this with £,sss in his eyes .
