George1990
Go here every few weeks to do English Sporting, and is indeed the only ground I've ever been to (so far). Heard it's a rather challenging ground? Anyone here go there? what do you think? It's £27 for 100 birds by the way, which i thought was rather steep. But their bacon n egg sarnies are darn good
Catamong
Hi George, Yes, I know Southdown very well, have shot there since it opened way back when. They throw probably the most challenging targets South of the Watford Gap, if you can hit 'em at Southdown, you can hit 'em anywhere. That's why the likes of Chard and others from 'oop North stay away, simply too much sky around every bird, they much prefer the "skeet in the trees" scenario. As regards prices, if you think £27 per 100 birds is steep for practice, you'd better stick to plinking coke tins with a .177, as I think 100 bird competition entries are now at £36. Cat. paulos
Nowt wrong with skeet in the trees Besides, its all we've got oop here. If grounds like North Wolds and Coniston put more registered shoots on, I would be a happy chappy

Paul.L
Southdown is quality and there,s a good crowd gets down there ,I love it, the lay out changes weekly and for the quality of clays I think £27 isn,t to bad at all.
Peter De La Mare
Attended Southdown twice for a registered sporting and the UK Grand Masters. Hoping to go there a lot more often and maybe give FITASC a go.
