Hi guys.

Just picked up a nice 8 gun cabinet, problem is though it needs to go exactly where my current one is, being my prefered location. But the problem is, I cant just move the other one and bolt it 3ft along the FEO has to come along and check it again  ...am I correct :P

Because it will be full of guns, once I move it without being checked wont they be illegaly stored?

Last year I had my cabinet in attic and it was a chew getting in and out so I decide to move it down stairs. I rang the FLO and he said it was ok to just move it, as he said he saw how well the old one was in. I just told him where it would be going and he said fine...

He didnt have to come and check it.....

Generally, as long as you FEO is happy with you as a person, that fact you have changed / moved / installed a cabinet to an agreed location is self certifying and not checked further. After-all, FEOs are very busy and if they can / might visit you are unlikely to let them know its now ready for inspection if it isnt 100% OK.

I increased my storage from 15 guns to 30 guns, then again to 50 guns inc Sect 1. All of it was simply agreed in advance, just where and what type of cabinets I'd be using. No post installation visits were made.

I moved mine earlier this year, rang the FEO and told him what I was doing - I was moving the cabinet to one of the places I had told him I may put it in the first place - he said carry on and if he was passing he would pop in for a look but there was no real need. Not seen him since.

You'll be fine but a phonecall wouldn't hurt and keeps the FEO on side.
